A new Legacy Chronicle, a fresh loot-crate type, and the Stronghold's arrival in Bounty Clash headline the third chapter of Crytek's seasonal event.
Crytek turned the page to Chapter 3 of Road to Hell, Hunt: Showdown 1896's ongoing seasonal event, on August 5. The chapter's centerpiece is a new Legacy Chronicle, Desolation's Call, which revives recolored Mythic skins from a past collection through a four-chapter, 21-reward unlock track priced at 1,250 Blood Bonds.
Desolation's Call follows Desolation's Delegate (formerly known as The Statesman) chasing a master plan tied to the 26th Regiment and a set of occult clues — continuing Hunt's habit of wrapping cosmetic unlocks in genuine in-fiction storytelling rather than treating them as a bare shop.
New ways to clash. Strongholds are coming to Bounty Clash on August 5th with Chapter 3 of Road to Hell.

A new Confiscated Cargo Crate spawns at the Stronghold and at newly added Crashed Balloon Supply points, which appear randomly across the map and stay hidden from the minimap — rewarding players who explore rather than beeline for marked loot. Crashed Balloons drop scarce weapons, ammo swaps, Hunt Dollar purses, and the new Confiscated Crates themselves.
The Stronghold location is also playable inside Bounty Clash through the end of the chapter, complete with a caged boss target and the Maxim M1895 available to find. A new weekend-only Contract, "Fog of War," increases foggy weather and grants a 100% Hunt Dollar bonus for its duration.
If you've been sitting on Blood Bonds, Desolation's Call is worth checking before Chapter 3 wraps — Legacy Chronicles bring back genuinely sought-after past cosmetics rather than generic new skins.
