Blizzard's first Team Drive of Overwatch Season 4, "Heroes of Busan," kicked off today and runs through September 6. It's a three-day spin on Competitive Play built around one idea: the team you win with is the team you keep.

Queue solo or bring friends into Competitive Play. Win a match, and whoever you were matched with automatically stays grouped for the next queue — no re-inviting five people every round. Keep winning and the streak builds toward Gladiator Ranks, with the usual Hero Bans and Map Voting still in play to keep things honest.
Team Drives run three days instead of a full Competitive Drive's usual stretch, specifically so they don't eat into the rest of the season's Competitive Play. Blizzard's framed this one as a test of the format — expect more social-focused events like it if the feedback lands well.
Team Drives arrives about three weeks into Season 4, which launched back on August 11 with new Tank hero D.Mon, a Battle Pass overhaul, and reworked versions of Busan, Paraíso, and Eichenwalde — see our earlier coverage for the full rundown on what shipped at launch. Running alongside Team Drives this week: the World Cup Cheer Rally (through September 14), letting players earn Cheer for their region ahead of the Overwatch World Cup Finals.
