The mid-season update lands August 20 alongside a Juggernaut rebalance that already shipped to fix a squad-size imbalance.
Activision confirmed Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone's Season 05 Reloaded update for August 20 at 9 AM PT, across all platforms. The Warzone-specific addition is Special Delivery Drones — a new shoot-down objective that adds a fresh reason to fight over airspace rather than just loot on the ground.
The update also continues the "Burn Run" Assignment that's been running through the back half of Season 05, and keeps Endgame available as a free-to-play mode through the rest of the season — useful if you've been meaning to bring a squad in without everyone owning Black Ops 7.
Ahead of Reloaded, an August 12 patch addressed a specific complaint about the Juggernaut Public Event: health used to stay flat regardless of squad size, which made the event disproportionately brutal for Solos and Duos. Juggernaut health now scales down for smaller squads — 70% in Duos, 50% in Solos, unchanged in Quads — and Raven Software says further Juggernaut tuning is still being evaluated based on player data.
On the Black Ops 7 side, Season 05 Reloaded also wraps up the Zombies storyline with a new map, Rex Infernus, a new Perk-a-Cola, a new Wonder Weapon, and two returning legacy weapons.
The Juggernaut health scaling is a genuinely useful change for anyone who plays Solos or Duos specifically — if you'd been avoiding that Public Event because it felt unwinnable outside a full squad, it's worth another look after August 12.
